Hi,
I am Dougie, born on St. Patricks day 1968 in a small mining village
called Carronshore near the bonnie town of Falkirk. I've always loved
music, my father was a musician playing clarinet and saxophone. I
first started playing in a band called "Scotch 'n' Rocks" before moving
on and starting two more bands. HomeBrew and Mak a Din with which
I achieved good levels of success. I packed in the music scene for
a few months after some personal problems and was absolutely thrilled
when Kevin asked me to team up with him. Kevin is an excellent
songwriter and singer whom I have long admired. We both love our
country and are fiercely patriotic. Both Kevin and I are now 100%
committed to White Rose and can't wait to deliver our huge repertoire of
songs to both fellow patriots and also to have a good crack with the
Auld Enemy and other foreign tourists. | |

For good Scottish Whiterose on |
Hi,
my name is Kevin Wilson. I have been a musician for 33 years , mostly as
a Folk singer/writer. I had previously played Bass Guitar in a series
of pub and rock bands but I always a great love for traditional and folk
music. For the past 25 years I've played in folk bands , firstly as a
member of Claymore a Scottish folk duo. A great wee duo that played all
the regular folk venues and where I set down my folk roots. I moved on
from there to become a founder member of the folk duo Schiltrum, which
whom I had a great deal of success during the past ten years or more
until musical differences saw the band members decide to move in
different directions. However I can honestly say that I have learned a
few things from each of the experiences to take with me along the way.Recently I teamed up with Dougie to form the Scottish/Irish/Jacobite duo - "Whiterose". Dougie is from the same musical background as myself, so it I was no surprise when everything just seamed to click into place. Not only do we share the same taste in music, we are both fiercely passionate about our country and its history, which is a brilliant combination. We are looking forward to a great future with "Whiterose" for many years to come. "Alba Gu Brath" Aye Kev.
